Strom Architects on Grand Designs for RIBA House of the Year

We have been so fortunate to have had the opportunity to design The Quest, and to get to know the clients - Charles and Pennie.  The Quest has been a wonderful project for us in so many ways, including the publicity that it has afforded the practice.

To be shortlisted for RIBA House of the Year on Grand Designs is something of a career highlight!  The S.A Team gathered in the office last night, to enjoy watching the programme with pizza and wine.  

We want to thank everyone involved with this project, Charles and Pennie, and to all who support us and enjoy our work.  Thank you also to RIBA, the judges and Grand Designs - it has been a great experience.  

The best moment of the show for us was when Charles said "The reason we chose Magnus, is that he builds houses flooded with light. This is the lightest, most life affirming building I've ever lived in."  What a wonderful accolade.
